I just got the call. Google hired me.

Let me try that again:

GOOGLE!

HIRED!

ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After two years of solid unemployment, I've finally been hired. Somebody values my skills and abilities! Validation!!

I'll be working at first as a contractor; assuming they like me after they've been working with me for a while, they'll hire me as headcount becomes available. I'll be working in the same group as

capricious_k; the User Support team is the interface between Google and the general unwashed masses of Internet users. So I'll be continuing a career in corporate communication, just in a medium and environment very different from what I'm used to.

Oh, and the pay, even as a contractor, is about the same as the best I ever earned doing video production. :-)
