I am a native of the San Francisco Bay Area. I love rain, clouds, fog, and wind. I feel most at home in California coastal woods or tall snow-covered mountains. Squirrels are amazingly fun to watch and play with, but cats are the best animals to bond with. In college I wore black high-top shoes, part of that elite cadre of black high-top folks -- you know who you are. Technology is a drug I cannot help but be addicted to. And winter is my favorite season of the year, hence the username.

I'm a geek, but hopefully one with obsessions beyond traditional geek bounds. My niche interests include gaming (computer/console as well as tabletop RPGs), dancing (Irish ceili and social ballroom), animation ("traditional" and anime), comic books (American-style and some manga), movies (domestic or foreign, Hollywood or indie), skiing (snow, not water), martial arts, science fiction & fantasy, progressive rock, period events, yadda yadda.
