Today my team at work learned that I've been promoted (I've known for a couple of weeks, but now I can share with the public). I am no longer an Online Operations Coordinator, I am now an Online Operations Associate!
What does this mean in terms of what I'm actually doing at work? Nothing, really. Google is a meritocracy, and promotions are really a recognition that you've been consistently functioning at a much higher level than is expected of you. It comes with a shiny new title, a raise, and the promise that the height of my performance bar has just been reset. Onward and upward...
