It's been a long time. Oh, and I have a new job.

Sorry, gentle readers, I know it's been quite a while since I've updated. My life has been happily humming along like normal. Lots of dancing, not quite enough gaming, and of course work.

Opportunities for new things are coming fast and furious at Google. I've asked for a couple of things that I haven't gotten, I've got a couple of things that I hadn't asked for, but it's all good. Last week, though, the planets aligned and I got something I really wanted.

My supervisor hauled me into a room the other day (often a good thing around my office) and told me that, effective immediately, I'm the new Assistant Trainer for our department. I've actually been teaching since I was in the 7th grade. I've taught computers, I've taught martial arts, I've taught video production (and geez, produced 1001 training videos) and I've taught dancing. Now I get to help teach trainees absolutely everything about Google. I'm so excited! I know I sound like a broken record both on this journal and in real life, but I really really love my job.

And now I'm settling in for a weekend primarily devoted to slothfulness. World of Warcraft, here I come...
