My boss pulled our contractor training class into a meeting on Friday afternoon.

"I want to emphasize that you've all been doing a really good job. I've been granted sufficient head count to hire all of you," she said. "Over the next two to three weeks we'll be looking closely to see which of you we'll invite to go through the interview process."

She gave us a list of a dozen key points that she thought all the Online Support Coordinators excelled at. She told us we're all clearly good at these, and some of us are excellent in some or most of these areas. Over the next two or three weeks they'll be looking to see if we can pull ourselves into the excellent category on all of them.

Here's why I'm freaking out: we expected to have many weeks, perhaps months, before we had to attain the level of excellence she's looking for. The last couple of classes had that much time. But our class has been on the fast track since the beginning; we've had to learn stuff faster than any group before us, and we've been expected to perform higher in a shorter amount of time than any previous class.

Right then. Two weeks to achieve perfection. No problem. I'm on it!
