Waiting on Google

Verbally I've been told "Yes, you're hired!" and "You'll start on Monday!" a bunch of times. But I just got a phone call telling me that my start date has been delayed another week.

The problem is that they need to train a batch of people at the same time, it's just not efficient for them to do otherwise since the training cycle is 2 months long. And they don't have a full training class yet. Argh!!!

I have a feeling that their written confirmation of intent to hire is tied to some kind of notice on the start date. Hence, I still don't have it in writing that I'm hired. *sigh*

So I wait.........
