The original Number One

Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, wife of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenbery, has passed away. She's played the first officer on the original pilot episode of Star Trek (TOS), Nurse Chapel on TOS, Lwaxana Troi on Next Gen; she also voiced the Enterprise computer on every Star Trek series and movie (including the new one coming out next year).

Like The Great Bird Of the Galaxy, she will be missed.
