Dah haih ob my face idh fwozen!
Jan. 28th, 2008 05:05 pmI made it up to the Tahoe region last Friday just in front of the bulk of this big-ass storm that's been slamming California. Got in one great day of skiing, one day of sitting around because it was snowing so hard the ski resorts were mostly closed, and then a great day of powder skiing today.
Interesting personal observation on facial hair: when lots of snow hits it, it tends to accumulate and freeze. Quickly. Really quickly. And if I move the muscles of my face at all to, say, talk the facial-glacier breaks up. Painfully.
Tomorrow's big question: will the storm have abated enough for me to drive home on schedule? Or will I get trapped on the wrong side of the pass? At least there's a broadband connection here....
