Richard Powers stole my dance partner!

miss_emelia and I arrived Richard asked her to partner him for the lessons, because both of his regular partners were unexpectedly unavailable. I managed to make do, but without her or capricious_k it was slightly less than perfect. ;-)
Richard was exploring party dances of the 20th century for the lesson, and it was totally awesome. We started off with that perinial favorite, the Salty Dog Rag:
After that came several line dances, the type of thing you'd see on American Bandstand in the 50's. He ended with the pièce de résistance, the line dance from Saturday Night Fever!
Having 100 people on a huge dance floor, with ages ranging from 15 to 65, was an experience I won't ever forget. I [[heart]] dancing!
