Three, three, three! days of dancing in one week. Positively Ammy-ish!

1) Cardio salsa at Google. Sadly, Anna (nee Anne's) last day teaching at work because she's starting up on the fall competition circuit.

2) Salsa at Steppin' Out by Gavin and Anna. The introductory lesson was a fine grounding in the basics. Then Anna says "Stick around for the intermediate lesson if you felt comfortable in the beginners lesson." No problem, [personal profile] capricious_k and I think. Ohhh, did Anna lie! 30 minutes in my brain was overloading with (what felt like to me) very advanced salsa skills. Fun lesson, of course, but I would have preferred something a bit more actually intermediate.

3) FNW, with lessons again taught by Anna. Since she was doing zweibacher, we decided to skip the lessons and just dance the first couple of sets. Lots of waltzing, yay!

And now for the weekend -- nothing! Whew!

During the last week I noticed that my iPhone seemed to be draining the battery far too quickly (basically within half a day) when I had its wifi antenna active, even though the phone was mostly on standby. Doing some searches around the 'net, I could barely find other instances of this problem. Huh, looks like my phone has some rare bug or hardware defect.

So I followed all the basic troubleshooting suggestions on Apple's support site. No improvement.

So before Friday Night Waltz last night, [personal profile] capricious_k and I stopped by the Apple store. At the Genius Bar, I told the resident genius my problem, and enumerated the troubleshooting steps I'd already tried. "Huh, looks like you've got a unique problem. That unit will have to be repaired." Five minutes later I had a new iPhone. Note that they just handed me a new phone and told me to keep it, no need for me to ever retrieve my original one. I {heart} Apple!

While I was there I decided to spend my $100 of store credit on a new bluetooth headset. I picked up the Aliph Jawbone based on the strength of the reviews. Best part? Apple let me apply my corporate discount on top of the credit. I {heart} Apple x2!!
