Pirates 3 > Pirates 2

We went to an early screening of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End in celebration of
miss_emelia's birthday last night. I was much more pleased with this one than I was with the second installment of the series. The did a good job widening the world out and developing the characters. Most importantly, they didn't pull any punches, which was what made this movie a standout ending to the series.
I've heard complaints about the length; it's almost 3 hours long. I thought all of that time was needed to tell the complex story they were telling, and I appreciated it.
Was it flawless? No. Was it immensely satisfying to me? Yes!
(Be sure to sit through the credits at the end. You will be rewarded.)
