It hasn't entirely sunk in yet, but tomorrow I depart for Ireland. I'll be vacationing for a week with
capricious_k and her family all over the island. After that, the two of us will be working from Google's Dublin office (me for a week, her for two). I'm pretty sure the time spent working will feel a lot like vacation, since our Dublin-town coworkers are a great bunch of folks, and nightly pub crawls sound like a lot of fun.
As a personal bonus, the weather in Ireland is cool and rainy right now, so I'll be breaking my beloved turtlenecks out early this year. Grey skies over green hills -- my ideal vacation. I'll get some photos up as soon as possible, and with any luck may even get an update or two after I jack into Dublin-net.
Y'all behave while I'm gone, y'hear?
Yes, my traditional music friends, you're right. The song quote in the title is from Paddy's Lamentation which is an anti-war anthem, not a traveling tune. It was the best I could do.
