Why I'm skipping Gaskell's
Apr. 20th, 2005 03:27 pmJust so you all know, I'm not going to Gaskell's on Saturday. Nor will I be attending the DHP. Or any of the other 20 or 30 events that folks managed to schedule that day. (Hey, didn't you all event planners coordinate with each other? What were you thinking???)
Instead, I'll be at the Orkut One Year Anniversary Party. I get to go to Gaskell's all the time, and DHPs are (usually) fairly regular events. But Orkut throws a heck of a party, and it's at the DNA Lounge (a cool space), and it's free, and it's a benefit for Camp Amelia ("...a charitable non-profit organization... providing software and technology education camps across the globe"). Orkut throws awesome parties, and usually have good swag. Maybe I'll see some of you there. If not, you can always hunt up my profile on orkut.com.
