I ripped my very last CD over to MP3 this morning, so my entire collection is now on my iPod. I'm lovin' the thing, and I've used it every day this week at work. One thing I quickly found I didn't like are the signature white headphones it comes with. Not only do they not sound very good, but I found them to be very uncomfortable. I went down the the Apple store this afternoon to buy a pair of Sony headphones I'd read good reviews of (which, coincidentally, are also white).
Great service at the Apple store. One of the guys on the floor was willing to tell me everything about headphones, but I'd already done my research. Instead I asked him to give me a run-down on the iTrip and similar FM transmitters. I was impressed -- he firmly told me to not waste my money on any of the available models (much like all the great advice you readers give me on this journal). A salesperson sternly recommending I not by something from him?
At the counter, the gal at the register noticed the Google t-shirt I was wearing today. It turns out Googlers get a discount at the Apple store. If I'd been wearing my t-shirt last weekend, I would have received a 6% discount on my iPod. Huh.
