Dec. 20th, 2004 01:29 pmIt's been a great few days for me.
miss_emelia's fabulous organization of a large group outing to see Avalon Rising at the King's Head last Thursday was huge amounts of fun. The band appreciated our fanishness and dancing so much they rearranged their set list to accommodate us. And it was a great send-off for
capricious_k, who departed the next morning on a family vacation.
Friday I had this little tickle in the back of my throat...
Saturday day was spent mostly playing WoW, and then I spent the evening at Gaskell's (despite the full-blown sore throat). As usual, the Xmas Gaskell's was super-crowded. Not all of my regular dance partners were there, which was sad. But I got in lots of great dancing, often with people I don't get a chance to dance with often, which was good! It's always especially nice to have a great excuse to hang out with D, too, who looked lovely in the second appearance of her hand-sewn crushed red velvet dress.
Sunday the sore throat had migrated up to my sinuses. I stayed in most of the day, taking it easy and playing more WoW. By the time I went to bed, I was confident I'd be going to work the next day.
This morning, I awoke feeling even more miserable. This damn cold has now migrated into my chest, and I'm still not feeling well. I spared my co-workers my germs and elected to stay home today. I've done some work remotely, but my head hurts, so I'm taking it easy.
K, I really hope you didn't take these germs with you on the cruise!
