Beyond Halo 2

I love Halo. I love Halo 2. But, like leftover calzone, Halo 2 will just get better over time, especially when I get more chances to play the campaign cooperatively.
I was struck with a quandary a couple of days ago, which
torvo helped me think through. In addition to Halo 2 (which came out last week), there's also Half Life 2 (which came out this week), and World of Warcraft (which comes out next week). What to do? So many games, so little time.
I also realized I have the weekend pretty much to myself. I could probably use the downtime. So here's what I decided to do: savor Halo 2, but let it sit for a while 'till
codrus can get his ass down here. I picked up HL2 yesterday, and I'll play it like a demon all weekend, hopefully finishing it before WoW comes out. Then I'll probably give WoW a shot (and hope that
zhaneel69 will hold my virtual hand while I'm a noob).
So, Half Life 2 last night. Let's get this straight again: Halo 2 is great, fabulous, beautiful, amazing, probably worth a 9.5. Let me just say (and I'm a total Halo fanboy) that Half Life 2 blows Halo 2 away on every single front other than multiplayer. Superior graphics, superior gameplay, superior sound, superior storytelling. I'd give it a 9.9.
I'm still in shock.
