Google me, baby!
Apr. 23rd, 2004 03:38 pmAfter another fabulous lunch with
capricious_k at the Googleplex cafe, sipping on a frappacino while a dj spun techno in the background, I wended my way over to Building e (that's e the immaginary number, not E the letter of the alphabet) for my job interview. My recuiter was really rushed and didn't have too much time to chat, but I already knew most of what she had to tell me.
The interview itself, unlike the last time I interviewed there, went extremely well. Last time I got difficulty connecting with the woman interviewing me. This time I was interviewing with
capricious_k's boss and we connected very well. The conversation drifted easily between personal get-ta-know-ya stuff and hardcore technical ability and work experience. I felt like I gave a very strong showing.
After the interview a 1/2 hour to do a writing sample (which I also felt I did well on) and that was it. I'm supposed to hear from them by the end of the day next Tuesday. I'll let y'all know if they hire me.
