Battlestar Galactica (no spoilers)
Dec. 10th, 2003 12:39 amI just got back from Cy and Athena's place where we (along with Rick and Ammy) watched all four hours of the new Battlestar Galactica, and frack was it good! We were all thoroughly impressed. They took every single fact and every single theme from the original series, and repackaged it with 10 times the depth. Every actor nailed their roles, all the SFX were stunning, and the story -- thank the lords of Cobol! -- was perfect.
The SciFi Channel is reportedly using this as a feeler for making a regular series, or perhaps just sorta-annual miniseries (like the Dune saga). I highly recommend this 2 episode miniseries to everyone, even if you hated the original version. I hope hope hope that we get more; this show deserves it.
